Recorded tiles of the Crucifixion in this form, as well as in the reverse pose, were made in London and elsewhere in England. Other published tiles show the Crucifixion without the additional figures and with different borders. Five recorded delft plates dated 1698, 1701, and 1748 depict this version of the Crucifixion, some in reverse. Another tile in the Colonial Williamsburg collection (accession 1989-449) depicts the same version of the Crucifixion with the same corners, but by a different hand.
