In the lower right is an inset map showing the transatlantic routes from the English Channel to the West Indies and those used by the Spanish galleons from Old Spain to Cartagena on the coast of Colombia. Printed in letterpress along the lower portion of the map is an explanation of the events that took place in Cartagena from March 9 to April 1, 1741
