Man's tail coat of blue cotton woven with white cotton in the warp direction, giving a tweed effect. Coat has turn down collar notched in front and double breasted front that can be buttoned in either direction, with ten buttons and buttonholes (five on each side.) Front is cut straight across at or just below waist, sloping off into tails. Long sleeves ending in turned up unlined cuffs. Back cut with center back vent and shallow button-trimmed pleats, each having a linen pocket hidden in the pleat. Coat has partial self linings down center fronts and front of tails, but no lining in sleeves or back.
