Washington Defeats British at the Battle of Princeton

Concerned that his small army in New Jersey could not withstand a British attack, Washington personally leads an assault on the rear guard of Howe’s main army at Princeton, New Jersey, nearly surrounding it and forcing hundreds to surrender. After the battle, Washington retreats to winter quarters at Morristown, New Jersey.
