Virginia Assembly Considers Lord North's Conciliatory Proposal
In the last full session of the House of Burgesses, its members consider Lord North's Conciliatory Proposal at length before rejecting it on June 10. In the meantime, Lord Dunmore has fled Williamsburg for the safety of the British warships at Yorktown.
