First Virginia Convention Meets in Williamsburg

Elected in June and July, delegates adopt an association that bans the importation and sale of British goods (including slaves) after November 1, 1774 and exports to Britain after August 10, 1775. They also elect seven delegates to the First Continental Congress, including Peyton Randolph, Richard Henry Lee, George Washington, and Patrick Henry.
