Virginia Courts Close
With the expiration of the law that set court fees, Virginia courts close. Because the Virginia assembly cannot enact a new law before it is dissolved by Lord Dunmore, all the courts remain closed until 1776. In the meantime, creditors cannot force any action to recover their debts.
